This year’s featured speaker is New York Times bestselling author, Emmy Award-winning journalist, and Creator of the Isolation Journals, Suleika Jaouad is the author of Between Two Kingdoms. She wrote the Emmy Award-winning New York Times column “Life, Interrupted” and her reported features and essays have appeared in The New York Times Magazine, The Atlantic, The Guardian, Vogue, and NPR, among other publications.
About the Benefit Breakfast
The Benefit Breakfast is the primary source of support for HLA, which promotes access to affordable, quality health care for low-income Massachusetts residents. Over the years, this event has enabled HLA to help more than 15,000+ families and individuals obtain health care.
Health Law Advocates (HLA) is a 501(c)(3) public interest law firm whose mission is to provide pro bono legal representation to residents in low-income situations experiencing difficulty accessing or paying for needed medical services. The HLA is committed to ensuring universal access to quality health care in Massachusetts, particularly for those who are most at risk due to such factors as race, gender, disability, age, or geographic location.
